This art work was made as one of my many trials for my dissertation project, which focused on reaching light transmission in dark thin sculpture, which had colour transition from dark to crystal clear blades. I was really interested in the principles of light transition in combination with the small thickness of the material, because the results are usually surprising. This installation involved two sharp edges facing each other, which were left in matting finish. The sharp edges were disturbed, which were there to express the organicity of my object in such a cold installation.

Gilotina vznikla jako jedno z mnoha mých zkoušek pro diplomovou práci jak uchytit tenkost a prostup světla v tavené plastice s přechodem z tmavé barvy do křišťálově čistého ostří. Tyto principy a vlastnosti světla v tenkosti materiálu mě velice zajímají a ve výsledku jsou vždy překvapivé. V instalaci tohoto objektu se jedná o dvě ostré hrany proti sobě ponechané v jemném matu s narušenou hranou, která byla způsobem jak vyjádřit organičnost objektu v takto chladné instalaci.
